Welcome to our new Alumni Programme where we showcase and celebrate the experiences, journeys and achievements of past students from Black Families Education Support Group Supplementary School.

We’re immensely proud of our Alumni and their achievements and wish to honour their stories and successes so that our current generation of students can draw inspiration from them, shape their own aspirations and go on to realise their own potential.

Our Alumni all started out as local students in schools across Bath and North East Somerset and spent many of their Saturday mornings attending our Supplementary School and taking part in a wide range of educational activities aimed at exploring their culture, heritage and history and developing confidence, self esteem and a strong sense of identity.

Since then our students have gone on to higher education and careers across a wide range of fields including health, business, performing arts and sports. Our Alumni Programme therefore seeks to highlight the exceptional achievements of these individuals and hold them up as role models to inspire future generations.

When you were involved in Black Families?

Who was in your cohort and coordinator?

What did you do and remember most?

What benefits did you get out of Black Families?

What advice would you give to the next gen about reaching aspirations and goals?

What are you doing now?

Thanks to support from Bath Women's Fund, we have been able to focus activity around supporting young women and girls to build confidence, self-esteem and aspirations.

This course is here to help with that.
